Amersham were scuppered by an astonishing batting performance from the Teddington overseas player on Saturday. After tight spells from the Amersham seamers had restricted NPL Teddington to 80-4 off the first 26 overs, S Laghari raised his game and repeatedly deposit the Amersham bowling out of the ground on his way to an unbeaten 166 from only 102 deliveries.

An aggressive declaration by the Teddington skipper left Amersham in the game, but two early wickets hampered their response and Amersham eventually succumbed to a disappointing 137.
